What materials should be used for the lining and grinding media of the ball mill?
1. The lining of the ball mill is best to use ceramic lining bricks
The appearance of the ceramic lining brick of the ball mill is delicate white, and the two lining bricks are connected by snap buttons to ensure the connection strength. Its main component is high-quality alumina, which has high whiteness and has no adverse effect on the quality of the ground material.
There are five types of ceramic lining bricks for ball mills, namely straight bricks, inclined bricks, straight half bricks, inclined half bricks and thin bricks.
Ball mill ceramic lining bricks have excellent wear resistance, which is 266 times that of manganese steel. They are mainly used as wear-resistant linings of ball mills. They are matched with high alumina balls to grind fine slurry.
2. The grinding medium of the ball mill is best to use high alumina balls
High alumina balls are white spheres with diameters ranging from 0.5mm to 120mm.
The main component of high-alumina balls is high-quality alumina from Shandong Aluminum Company, a subsidiary of China Aluminum Corporation. It has a large specificity, which can greatly improve the grinding efficiency, and at the same time increase the effective volume of the ball mill, thereby increasing the amount of grinding materials; it has excellent characteristics of high temperature resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance; it is a ceramic ball with ultra-low wear. The wear is only 1.5/10,000, which greatly prolongs the service life of the grinding ball, thus reducing the cost of customers.
High alumina ball has excellent characteristics such as high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, high specific weight, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and no pollution. It is widely used in different types of ceramics, enamel, glass, and chemical raw materials. Finishing and deep processing, its crushing and grinding efficiency and wear resistance are far superior to ordinary ball stones and natural pebbles, and it is an excellent grinding medium for fine crushing equipment such as ball mills, pot mills, vibration mills, etc.
